Anyone involved in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) knows how emotions can derail the entire process. In this Mediator Shared Interest Group (SIG) presentation, "When Nice Folks Morph Into Norman Bates: How To Identify and Manage the Emotional Underpinnings in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)," presenters will discuss different conflict resolution personality styles and strategies to manage when clients become difficult.

This NASW Illinois Chapter event is co-sponsored by the Association of Conflict Resolution Chicago Chapter (ACR). Light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided by ACR.

All courses offered through the NASW Illinois Chapter meet the continuing education qualifications for LSWs, LCSWs, LPCs, LCPCs, LMFTs, RNs, LPNs, APNs, LCPs, and PELs (formerly Type 73) licensed in Illinois as required by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
